Enjoy SWELL Sculpture Festival 2019 with Isle of Palms Resort
If there’s something to get excited about this spring it’s SWELL Sculpture Festival – a free celebration of art and environment that comes to Currumbin Beach for ten consecutive days.
Back in 2019 for its 17th event, SWELL Sculpture Festival is set to enjoy its biggest attendance yet as Currumbin Beach becomes a surreal canvas for up to 50 eye-catching and thought-provoking sculptures – a fascinating spectacle that’s free to enjoy!
Created by renowned national and international artists, these interesting sculptures bring a whole new look to Currumbin Beach along with a rare atmosphere that comes only once a year. As with each festival, SWELL Sculpture Festival 2019 will host guided walks of the sculptures and installations, thoughtful artist talks and a handful of creative workshops for all ages, meaning lots to do for all throughout the ten-day period.
For both art lovers and beachgoers, SWELL Sculpture Festival is a unique annual experience that has now become part of the Gold Coast’s culture and identity. Established in 2002 by Natasha Edwards and Kylie Mitchell-Smith, SWELL Festival has only grown with each event, now drawing up to 275,000 visitors each year!
